KEY POINTS:
Once you've witnessed a wild and woolly concert tour coming up later this month you won't believe What You Heard.
Local rock 'n' roll rabble-rousers the Checks are hitting the road with the Electric Confectionaires and the Dukes on what they have dubbed the Wild and Woolly Tour.
The tour kicks off at Ohakune's Mardi Gras Festival on June 28, then the lads head south for a string of dates, before returning to warm up Auckland at the Kings Arms on July 17.
They also play Tauranga's Colosseum Bar on July 18.
Last year the Checks released their debut album, Hunting Whales and are back in New Zealand after a stint in Britain where the band's record label, Fulltime Hobby, is based.
Tickets for the shows go on sale June 9 from Real Groovy and Ticketdirect.
