George Clooney has joked he has his testicles "ironed" to get rid of any wrinkles.

The Hollywood hunk is still a hit with the ladies at 51 and is currently dating former wrestler Stacy Keibler.

During an interview he was quizzed on whether he has any help with his appearance, and gave a tongue-in-cheek response to show how silly he thinks such questions are.

"I never fixed my eyes, but I spent more money to stretch the skin of my testicles. I did not like the wrinkles," he laughed to Italy's Max magazine.

"It's a new technique, many people in Hollywood have done it. It's called ball ironing."

However, some of the star's fans began to call into question whether Clooney was joking after realising a similar operation can be booked by self-conscious men.

Despite his humorous comment, Clooney has admitted to going under the knife in the past. In 2007 he was interviewed by fellow Hollywood star Julia Roberts for an Oscars TV special and appeared to lift the lid on his secret.

"I had my eyes done. Can you tell? I think it's important to look awake," he said.
