George Clooney has distanced himself from reports he partied with Silvio Berlusconi after he was called to testify at the former Italian prime minister's sex trial.
The actor and his ex-girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis are on a list of potential witnesses who could be called when Berlusconi, who resigned from office earlier this month, is tried over allegations he paid for sex with an underage prostitute.
Clooney told Time magazine he is willing to testify about the wild "bunga bunga" sex bashes but insisted he only visited Berlusconi's home once to request aid for Darfur.
"I wasn't at the bunga bunga party. I went to speak about Darfur... It was a very interesting conversation to say the least, that became a very different kind of event than anyone ever thought," he explains.
Clooney says he was asked to stay after the meeting but turned down the invitation, responding, "No, I gotta go."
