A week of controversy hasn't translated into extra viewers for The GC.
The hyped TV3 reality show featuring a group of New Zealand Maori living on Australia's Gold Coast lost 80,000 viewers when the second episode aired last night.
Last week's debut was TV3's top-rating show for the day with 370,660 viewers. It beat both the 3 News bulletin at 6pm, and current affairs show Campbell Live at 7pm.
But last night's episode rated at 289,480 according, to statistics from Throng.co.nz.
That's a drop of around 19 per cent.
