The Civil Defence website sadly lacks advice for what to do in a zombie apocalypse. Now, with State of Decay, an open world third-person action game, you can test your theories on how to survive invasion by the living dead.
You and a buddy fight your way out of a remote camping ground and search for survivors.
There is not much of a set plot to State of Decay, rather fellow survivors ask you to do missions. Most of your time is spent scavenging for supplies and ensuring morale at home is high.
As you make friends you assume control of them - so that when each character tires of scavenging and zombie-slaying you control another, ensuring the action never stops. It also means that should you have your limbs torn from your torso the fun doesn't end.
The more zombies you slay the more competent the characters become. They'll learn finishing moves to put away "Zs". Players get scant time to regroup before the brain eaters' next attack.
