KEY POINTS:
Armageddon organisers are bumping up the event's videogame content this year - but bring your ID.
Games worth looking out for include PlayStation 3 title LittleBigPlanet, which this week was pulled from sale in the United States when it was discovered that some background music contained lines from the Koran. Sony has special code on hand, minus the offending levels.
Another massive title is dark and nasty first-person shooter Resistance 2, the sequel to controversial PS3 blockbuster Resistance: Fall of Man, which raised the ire of religious leaders when it featured firefights inside Manchester Cathedral.
Keep an eye for unique EA title Mirror's Edge too - it's a first-person jumper.
Top Xbox titles for the event are the fantasy quest Fable II and mind-blowing Gears of War 2, but be warned, says Microsoft, it's R18 and ID will be required to play, as will Saint's Row 2 (R18) and Far Cry 2 (R16).
MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role-playing game) fans can disappear into the World of Warcraft Arena, or check out the wannabe WoW-killer Warhammer Online.
