With just over three weeks to go until the final season of Game of Thrones airs, HBO has teased fans by unveiling the official season eight poster.
The image immediately went viral when it dropped in the early hours of Friday (Australian time), earning thousands of likes and shares onTwitter within minutes.
The poster shows the iron throne merged with a dragon's head (look at the very bottom), likely a confirmation of what diehard fans already know: Daenerys Targaryen's two remaining dragons could be the key to helping her and Jon Snow defeat the White Walkers and put her on the throne.
The cast have been sworn to secrecy and no spoilers seem to have been leaked, a true internet miracle.
When we last checked in on Westeros, the fates of our favourite Game of Thrones characters were on a knife edge.

It was nearly two years ago, but it's hard to wipe the image of a giant undead dragon blowing a massive hole in The Wall, paving the way for the Night King to begin his reign of terror on the living.
Around the same time, Daenarys Targaryen and Jon Snow were finally acting on their lust — right as Samwell Tarley discovered they are, in fact, aunty and nephew.
In true GoT form, the stars have been careful not to drop any spoilers.
But Kit Harington recently gave a grim insight into what Jon Snow is in for.
"The end of the world might be coming soon, but at least he's in love with somebody and knows who he is — and then comes a sledgehammer," he said.
Emilia Clarke gave fans a little more hope for her character, known as the Dragon Queen, saying: "There's so much she's seen and witnessed and been through and lost and suffered and hurt. She's been working for this her entire existence."
