A special effects editor who worked on hit HBO show Game of Thrones has been killed after being attacked by a lion in South Africa.
The Telegraph reported Katherine Chappell was killed when a lion attacked her through her car window while she took photos during a safari park tour.
Chappell had been in the country for a week to raise money for anti-poaching initiatives, the Telegraph reported. She was at Lion Park near Johannesburg when the lion attacked.
Her family paid tribute to the 29-year-old, with her sister Jennifer calling her "brilliant, kind, adventurous and high-spirited".
"Her energy and passion could not be contained by mere continents or oceans. She was very much loved and shared her love for life with those she met," she wrote on Facebook.
