The first full track from Metallica's controversial collaboration with Lou Reed has been posted online.
Fans reacted angrily after the first snippet from The View hit the net last week, and the full version of the song, now on YouTube, is unlikely to sway those attitudes.
The unlikely studio buddies have joined forces for the album Lulu, due out on October 30 and Reed has called it "the best thing I have ever done".
But the 30-second taster from the 10-track album was greeted with disdain by fans of the stadium-filling metal act.
NZ Herald TimeOut writer Scott Kara called it "haphazard drivel" - and fans on the website Metalunderground.com agreed with him.
"It's like a train wreck - you can't look away," said one poster.
