Taylor Swift is a great musician and apparently a great friend, but that doesn't always equate to being a great gift-giver.
She has a literal army of dedicated fans that worship her every move and even an all-girl power squad (Karlie Kloss, Emma Stone, Sarah Hyland, Selena Gomez, Lily Aldridge, Gigi Hadid, Cara Delevinge... etc, you get the picture).
But that doesn't automatically make you the god's gift at gift-giving.
You'd think with the truckload of money she earns that maybe she could splash out a little on her pals...but no.
Charli XCX and Swift are friends and have sung each other's songs at concerts on the odd occasion.
Charli appeared with her onstage during the Toronto stop of Taylor's last music tour. The duo performed Charli's Boom Clap.
According to a new interview of Charli XCX in the Fader, Taylor Swift went out of her way to thank Charli for appearing and performing at her show by sending her a little surprise:
"It was a bunch of Taylor Swift merch. Charli had recently appeared onstage at one of Taylor's concerts, where they did a duet to Boom Clap, and the surprise was a thank you sent by the artist herself, a pop giant reaching out to someone figuring out how she might be one."
So, let's get this straight... Swift literally sent Charli XCX a giant box of her own T-Swift merchandise.
Come on girl! Not such a thoughtful gift.
Carly Simon: The bus ticket discount
Swift gave Carly Simon a discount on her tour bus.
According to a Time article "Simon has recently purchased Swift's old tour bus, since she doesn't care much for flying. She says Swift gave her a discount ("the price you'd charge your sister") and even left all her linens on board."
The linens! I mean come on...
Lorde: Flowers
According to Vogue Australia, Swift said "my friendship group is one of my favourite things about my life right now. Our friends really have each others' back. It's the first time in my life that I've had anything strong like that in the friendship department," Taylor revealed.
"A lot of the time I'll reach out to people to tell them they're great and a friendship will come out of them. Ella and I (Lorde) met on our own because her album came out and I sent her flowers and told her it was great and now she's one of my best friends."
