THE OMEN
Herald Rating: * * *
Remake of the classic 1976 fright-flick about a child raised by an American diplomat, who bears the number of the beast. In the role, which was made famous by Gregory Peck, Liev Schreiber plays Robert Thorn, the US Ambassador to Britain. It pretty much sticks to the formula, with skewered priests, decapitations and Mia Farrow as the Satan-following nanny. (2006)
10.05PM, RIALTO SKY DIGITAL
CHOPPER
Herald Rating: * * * *
The story of Mark "Chopper" Read (Eric Bana), the notorious Australian criminal who wrote his semi-fictional autobiography From the Inside while serving a jail sentence in prison. Often brutal and always fascinating. (2000)
