Sometimes bands just don't work out. Sometimes members end up going in different directions - wanting to spread their wings and fly off on their own creative ventures.
Former Midnight Youth front-man, Jeremy Redmore, released his first solo album, Clouds Are Alive this week. In light of this we've decided to take a look at some other musos who have gone solo.
There have been a few flops and failures of course - but a lot of artists actually became bigger once they were on their own.
You only need to look at the likes of Justin Timberlake, who split from N*Sync, or Micheal Jackson, who left is Jackson 5 brothers behind. Then there's Morrissey, formerly of The Smiths; ex-Beatle, Paul McCartney and Cher, who took off after she ditched Sonny.
