Well deserved awards were taken home by the Arctic Monkeys who won Best British Group and British Album of the Year. The legendary David Bowie was awarded Best British Male Solo Artist, while Best British Female Solo Artist was won by pop star Ellie Goulding.
New Zealand's Queen Bee, Lorde, won the award for Best International Female Solo Artist and caused a little bit of a stir with her "priceless" acceptance speech.
