'Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air' star denies he ever dated Jada Pinkett Smith

Jada Pinkett Smith has been left red faced after claiming she went on a date with Will Smith's Fresh Prince of Bel-Air co-star.

On the most recent episode of her Facebook series, Red Table Talk, Jada told her husband Will, daughter Willow and mum Adrienne, that she went on a date with the actor who played Carlton on the '90s sitcom.

"I actually think I dated Alfonso (Ribeiro)," Jada said.

Clearly aware of the story, Will added, "And he like took you on a motorcycle or something?"

"I think so," Jada said. "My memory is … I've dated a lot people … but we went on one date."

But Alfonso, who now hosts America's Funniest Home Videos, shot down Jada's claim on Twitter.

"Sorry Jada. Your memory is a little off," he tweeted.

"We went to lunch with your family when we both guest starred on A Different World the year before you became a regular."

Jada responded to the tweet and said, "My fault Alf … I thought it was a date."

Will Smith couldn't act: Before The Fresh Prince, Smith had only acted on TV once.

"When I watch those (first) episodes, it's disgusting," Smith said. "My performances were horrible."

And his co-stars agreed.

"I couldn't believe what a bad actor he was," Tatyana Ali, who played Ashley Banks, said.

"I'd do a scene with him and he would mouth my words while I was doing my lines … If you look at the old shows, you can see it."

Feuding stars: Janet Hubert, who played Aunt Vivian on the show, didn't see eye-to-eye with Will Smith and quit in 1993.

She later blasted the sitcom's star in 2011 when asked by TMZ if she'd ever consider appearing in a Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air reunion.

"There will never be a reunion … as I will never do anything with an a**hole like Will Smith," Hubert said.

"He is still an egomaniac and has not grown up. This constant reunion thing will never ever happen in my lifetime unless there is an apology, which he doesn't know the word."

According to Smith, Hubert quit the show and hasn't been very nice since because she's jealous of his career.

"(Hubert) said once, 'I've been in the business for 10 years and this snotty-nosed punk comes along and gets a show.' No matter what, to her I'm just the Antichrist," Smith said on radio.

The origins of the Carlton dance: Everyone knows about the iconic Carlton dance which was created by actor Alfonso Ribeiro. But how did he come up with it?

"The Carlton Dance was created when it said in the script: 'Carlton dances,'" Ribeiro told Variety.

"It was never even intended to be funny; it was just that he was dancing.

"The dance is ultimately Courteney Cox in the Bruce Springsteen video Dancing In The Dark; that's the basis. Or in Eddie Murphy's Delirious video, 'The White Man Dance' as he called it. And I said, 'That is the corniest dance on the planet that I know of, so why don't I do that?'"
