Free sounds out West

There is plenty of music on this summer - and in Waitakere you can get some of the best sounds around for free.

Waitakere Sounds kicks off on Waitangi Day in Henderson Park with local rock bands the Earlybirds, Autozamm, Ivy Lies and local Westie heroes Mile High.

On February 20, also at Henderson Park, Katchafire play songs from their new album On the Road Again, as well as some old faves, supported by funk soul reggae act Soljah; March 6 sees Debbie Harwood singing iconic Kiwi hits in Luckens Reserve, West Harbour with support from Janine Foster; and on March 12 at Harbourview Reserve on Te Atatu Peninsula, DJs Dick (Magik) Johnson and Bevan Keys oonst things up for some outdoor dancefloor action.
