Britney Spears fans are in a frenzy after the star's mother seemingly confirmed fears the star is being held against her will in rehab.
The 37-year-old singer entered a mental health facility earlier this month after she cancelled her Las Vegas residency, and is said to be struggling after herfather nearly died from a ruptured colon.
Now, a "free Britney" hashtag is trending on social media after Spears' mum "liked" comments on social media which claimed the star is being "held against her will" in a rehabilitation centre.
The speculation started after an anonymous "inside source" went public with the claim on a popular podcast called Britney's Gram, saying: "It was reported that Britney Spears checked herself into a mental facility at the end of March. We have information that that might not be true."

The internet has quickly hopped on the #FreeBritney bandwagon, picking apart perceived clues left by the pop superstar.
She’s honestly dropped so many hints throughout the years. Even just last year on the Piece Of Me Tour, she said to the crowd “What do you do when someone tells you not to do something? You DO IT!” She’s wanted us to know for a while now. #FreeBritneypic.twitter.com/sHVyMiFInA
In all seriousness, it doesn’t matter if you believe the latest news about our girl. For years, it’s been extremely clear that something’s not right in her world.
Britney's mother Lynne shared a picture of a woman on her knees with the words: "When God's warriors go down on their knees the battle is not over; it has just begun."
She captioned it: "This is 'faith'."
Lynne then went on to 'like' a number of the comments.
