Around 50,000 fans are gearing up for the biggest Foo Fighters show ever seen in New Zealand, and by the sounds of things they're in for a treat.
The Foos, led by Dave Grohl, are due to play in Auckland on Tuesday, December 13 - the band's second performance in New Zealand this year after March's Christchurch charity show at the Auckland Town Hall.
This time they'll be playing at Western Springs to around 50,000 people along with support acts Tenacious D, F**ked Up and Cairo Knife Fight in their biggest ever New Zealand show.
But first the Foos kicked off their seven-date Australasian tour in Perth on Monday night, and scored rave reviews.
"Musical genius Dave Grohl and his finely tuned band smashed every song in a near-three-hour set that covered 17 years of rollicking hits, moving ballads and even two covers," said Perth Now's Maxine Brown and Lauren Nathan.
