The three Kiwi acts in the running for 2015's Best Folk Album award have been announced.
Christchurch singer-songwriter Flip Grater, Palmerston North's Rachel Dawick and 2013 winners Great North are all in the running for the prestigious award.
Flip Grater is nominated for her album Pigalle, a record which showcased a grittier side to her usual acoustic tendencies.
Great North released their acclaimed third album Up in Smoke this year, while Rachel Dawick's fourth album The Boundary Riders tells musical stories about New Zealand's pioneering women.
The winner will be announced at the Auckland Folk Festival in Kumeu on January 25.
