Flying again

After a four-year hiatus, Barnaby Weir of The Black Seeds is resurrecting his Fly My Pretties live experience.

The project started in 2004 when Weir gathered together a group of Wellington musicians for a series of concerts at Bats Theatre in the capital which culminated in the Live At Bats album. The year after, in what was dubbed The Return of Fly My Pretties, they took the show on the road to include Auckland. This year, FMP are back and travelling to all four main centres including three shows in Auckland on June 4, 5 and 6 at SkyCity Theatre.

The line-up of artists for this year's show has yet to be announced but in the past has focused on Wellington acts, including members of Phoenix Foundation and The Black Seeds, and Hollie Smith. However, this time artists from other parts of the country will be involved.
