He has a growing catalogue of top 10 hits behind him but Flo Rida is fast becoming a specialist in one-hit wonders. Not his own, mind, but those of long forgotten acts like Dead or Alive and Eiffel 65.
The familiar lyrics of Right Round have been spinning across stereos the country over since radio got hold of the infectious hip pop remix, featuring Kesha. And soon, the annoying "da-ba-dee" of Blue will haunt you as Flo Rida resurrects the ghost of Eiffel 65.
Little of what Flo Rida does is original. Even his own tracks sound strangely familiar with a distinct 90s' hip-hop flavour. But the record is a catchy little beast, just begging for a little bump and grind on the dance floor.
A host of guest stars [Nelly Furtado, Akon, Ne-Yo, Wyclef Jean] see Flo Rida step to the side on several tracks, suggesting he doesn't share the egomaniacal qualities of many of his hip hop contemporaries.
But he does borrow Kanye's latest toy, the vocoder, for a few tracks, including the spitfire Gotta Get It (Dancer), which ends with the charming Chipmunk-esque freestyle "Want to stick my balls in your mouth".
It's the closest Flo Rida comes to being offensive, which in the current climate of violent, sex-fuelled hip hop, is actually quite unique.
