R&B singer Chris Brown is making headlines for all the wrong reasons - including a New Zealand concert he might not be allowed in the country for. Here are five reasons we don't want him here anyway.
1. Assaulting Rihanna
This is the incident that took Chris Brown from bad boy to actual criminal. In 2009, he assaulted his then-girlfriend, pop star Rihanna. The incident took place as the pair were on the way to the Grammy Awards on February 8. Brown plead guilty to the assault charge, escaping prison time for community service, give years' probation and ordered to stay 100 yards away from Rihanna.
Brown made headlines when it was revealed that he is the baby daddy to 32-year-old Nia Guzman's daughter, Royalty. The two were never a couple - the baby is rumoured to have been conceived while Brown was still with on-off girlfriend, model Karrueche Tran. Despite Guzman's request for full custody, Brown was recently granted joint custody of his 16-month-old daughter.
3. Assassination attempt
In 2014 at a pre MTV VMAs party, Brown was thought to be at the centre of a possible assassination attempt. During a shooting at a club in West Hollywood, Suge Knight was shot and put in ICU. Police suspected the shooting to be gang related. Several hours later Brown tweeted about the event saying: "It's disappointing that we as a society can#t have fun or enjoy ourselves without any altercations sometimes. Miss me with the bullsh!t!!!'
4. Stalker in the bed
Amira Kodcia Ayeb, 21, was accused of stalking, vandalism, and burglary - to which she pleaded not guilty. It's reported that Brown found the woman naked in his bed after returning home from celebrating his 26th birthday. The words "I LOVE YOU" were also spray painted on the star's kitchen counter. Brown posted a photo to Instagram of the intruder, writing: "She had broken the hinges off the doors. She Found time to cook her several meals. She Wrote 'I love you' on the walls. She threw out my daughters clothing as well as my dogs stuff. Then had all these crazy voodoo things around my crib. goes to show you how crazy people are crazy! And she painted her name on my cars!!!! I love my fans but this is some on some real real crazy shit! I pray she will get help."
5. And this happened today ...
Reports today suggest Brown is a "person of interest" in a third degree assault case. The 26-year-old singer and his staff are being sought after by police following allegations they "forcibly" threw a woman off his tour bus in Colorado because she refused to give up her mobile phone. The incident reportedly kicked off outside Platinum 84 Gentleman's Club in Denver, where Chris, French Montana and Fetty Wap were shooting a new music video. The unnamed woman, who was not part of the production team for the video, has filed a report for third degree assault and claimed her mobile phone was broken in the scuffle. According to gossip website TMZ, police want to talk to Brown and his team after CCTV footage from outside the venue emerged of the woman departing the bus.
