It's been almost a year since we first met the screen version of Luke Cage, the real unbreakable man (sorry, Bruce Willis), in Jessica Jones.
So when Netflix and Marvel released a Luke Cage teaser at San Diego Comic-Con last month, fans were frothing. That video, set to Ol' Dirty Bastard's Shimmy Shimmy Ya, gave us a real taste of the ridiculous strength and imperviousness of the Marvel superhero as he took down a dozen bad guys with barely a smirk or cocked eyebrow. Dude is chiiiill.
But until the whole season drops at the end of September, you'll have to settle for feasting your eyes on the first full-length Luke Cage trailer, released today.
It gives you a much better sense of the story arc for the series, including Luke's relocation from Daredevil and Jessica Jones' Hell's Kitchen to Harlem and his crusade to save the iconic neighbourhood from abandoning its hopes.
Shifting the story to Harlem feels particularly relevant as Americans continue to grapple with African-American identity and the relationship with the wider community.
