New Zealand's very first home grown Christmas movie named Kiwi Christmas has released its debut trailer today.
Kiwi Christmas is about the story of Santa, who 'does a runner' Down Under one week out from Christmas and heads as far away from the North Pole as possible - New Zealand.
The trailer shows an adventure-filled Christmas movie with some Kiwiana summer flair.
The film stars local favourites Will Hall, Troy Kingi, Ian Mune, Wesley Dowdell and Laura Daniels and also veteran Finnish actor Kari Väänänen playing Santa Claus.
Director Tony Simpson says "I wanted to make a film that reminds us of the simple joys of family and Christmas."
"That love is both the easiest and hardest gift to give...but definitely the most important."
