Firewatch studio Campo Santo has announced a deal to bring its debut game to the big screen, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The studio will team with production and financing firm Good Universe on the adaptation, as part of an ongoing deal to create projects across both video games and movies.
"It's rare you meet another group that shares so many of your values and makes the process of creating things even more exciting," said Campo Santo founder Sean Vanaman of the Good Universe partnership. "We can't wait to see what we make together."
Echoing the sentiment, Good Universe co-founder Joe Drake said that "with the Campo Santo team, [Good Universe] felt an immediate simpatico with their utterly beguiling storytelling and amazing creative instincts."
