Two major music festivals are expected to be basking in sun as Splore and Raggamuffin kick off the weekend's musical activities.
Splore is already underway at Tapapakanga Regional Park south of Auckland, and runs over the weekend featuring performances by Leftfield, The Cuban Brothers and Little Simz.
Fine, cloudless weather with a high of 25 degrees is predicted to give tomorrow's Raggamuffin festival a sunny glow.
Held at Trusts Stadium in Waitakere, the festival's second Auckland event features the first New Zealand performance by rap legends Wu-Tang Clan, as well as UB40, Macy Gray, The Game and Xzibit.
Gates open at 10am, and the festival is boasting a family friendly vibe, with children under the age of 14 allowed in free with adult-paying ticket holders.
