The final three are set to sing off for X Factor NZ glory tonight.
After a four-month search - involving thousands of hopefuls - for New Zealand's latest chart sensation, Beau Monga, Nyssa Collins and Brendon Thomas and the Vibes will tonight line-up in the Grand Final.
The winner will be revealed on a TV3 special tomorrow night.
Monga - whose parents headed 1980s chart-toppers Ardijah - said his priority in the build-up had been insuring he could "up the performance", adding he had been "working hard".
Collins said she had been spending "a lot of time" with family.
"They have really helped me stay calm ahead of the weekend. I am so excited," she said.
Added Thomas: "We are prepping just as we would for every live show. This week has been intense but we are just looking forward to going out and giving NZ one last tight, killer show."
Collins said she had endured "the meanest butterflies" in the lead-up to tonight's show.
Monga said he was "feeling good", while Thomas said his powerful three-strong band were just "excited to get out there and have fun".
Monga said one of the highlights in the build-up to the grand final had been taking his mentor, Natalie Bassingthwaite, home to meet his family.
"She is from Australia so was cool to take her home and celebrate my culture with her," he said.
As well as prepping for the final sing-off, Brendon Thomas and the Vibes also got a chance to perform on one of their other favourite TV shows.
"We got to jam as the house band on Jono and Ben this week and it was sick," Thomas said. "[It] was awesome to play music outside the competition and Jono and Ben are awesome dudes."
Collins said she was still buzzing this week after dedicating a song to her mother last Sunday.
The toughest part of the past four months on X Factor NZ for the finalists had been seeing their mates voted off the show.
"It's stink when people go," Monga said. "We are like family and I always miss chilling with them. We really developed each other as we are all on the same journey."
Collins said whenever anyone got eliminated "it feels like part of you has gone".
Added Thomas: "There is always so much to learn from from the other contestants so it's a shame when they get eliminated. We have had such a great time with them we can't wait to hang out outside the X Factor NZ."
