Summer music festival Coromandel Gold returns in December and this time it's bigger and longer as it expands to a two-day event.
Located at Ohuka Farm, three kilometres from Whitianga, the festival will run from December 30-31 with a line-up including Shapeshifter, Kora, the Black Seeds, Ladi6, and TrinityRoots, and Jon Toogood on double duty with both Shihad and his new band The Adults (pictured) - with Julia Deans and Shayne Carter - playing.
Also on the bill are Wellington psyche garage blues band The Nudge, reggae stalwarts 1814, dub stepper Optimus Gryme with Tiki Taane, and drum'n'bass act The Upbeats, with another local heavyweight still to be announced.
Pre-sale tickets go on sale at 9am July 21 to members registered at coromandelgold.co.nz. If not sold out, any remaining tickets will be available for public sale on July 25. However, last year all 12,500 tickets sold out in 36 hours before going on public sale.
