Will Ferrell's Anchorman character Ron Burgundy is to release his memoirs.
The fictional newsman has inked a deal to release a "tell-all autobiography" named Let Me Off At The Top!: My Classy Life and Other Musings.
In the book, Burgundy will share "never-before-told stories of his childhood" and will offer readers a "rare glimpse behind the camera into the real life of a man many consider to be our greatest living news anchor".
A statement from publishing company Random House reads, "The long wait is over. Ron Burgundy pulls no punches in this widely anticipated, fully authorised tell-all autobiography," and the man himself concludes, "I don't know if it's the greatest autobiography ever written. I'm too close to the work. I will tell you this much: the first time I sat down and read this thing... I cried like a goddamn baby, and you can take that to the bank!"
The book will be released in November and Ferrell's famous comedy character will next be seen in a big screen follow-up to the original 2004 film Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy.
