Kiwi actress Keisha Castle-Hughes is set to be unleashed as a fearsome warrior in season five of the global hit TV show Game of Thrones.
Fans of the HBO-produced fantasy series are bracing themselves for the latest instalment, which will feature the former Whale Rider star in her biggest role yet.
The Herald on Sunday revealed earlier this year that the star had landed a coveted role in the show.
The Entertainment Online website described Castle-Hughes' character, Obara Sand, as a "fearsome warrior". With fellow "screen sisters", Nymeria and Tyene, Obara Sand will be "looking to get revenge on the Lannisters for the death of Oberyn Martell". Castle-Hughes' character is tipped to star in at least one major fight scene in series five.
It is understood Los Angeles-based Castle-Hughes completed specialist stunt training during a recent stint in New Zealand.
