A terminally ill Trekkie who was given a sneak preview of Star Trek Into Darkness has died.
Into Darkness director JJ Abrams set up a special screening of the film for Daniel Craft after seeing a post from the fan's wife on the internet message board Reddit.
It said Craft, 41, had just weeks to live and his last wish was to see Star Trek Into Darkness, even if he only got to watch a small portion of the film.
Abrams and film producers saw the post and delivered a rough cut of the film, which isn't meant to be released until May, for Craft to watch at home.
Craft went back to bed after watching the film and didn't get out again, The Hollywood Reporter said.
