KEY POINTS:
Head of drama at the University of Auckland's English Department Murray Edmond is directing four plays for the drama studies post-graduate production this week.
With a blanket title The End of the World, the programme features short plays from the European avant-garde: The Jet of Blood by Antonin Artaud, The Puppet Booth by Alexander Blok, Play without a Title by Federico Garcia Lorca, and The End of the World by Konstanty Ildefons Galcynski.
Edmond says the plays were chosen for their "fascinating attempts to invent new and different ways of making theatre". The postgrad students act in the plays and also design and light the performances.
The End of the World: Drama Studio, 14A Symonds St, May 25-27, 30-31, June 1-2, 8pm.
