Ed Sheeran's one-year-old daughter Lyra has returned a positive test for Covid-19 after the singer confirmed he'd contracted the virus on Monday.
The Bad Habits artist, 30, is currently isolating with baby Lyra for 10 days away from his wife, Cherry Seaborn.
It comes after Sheeran told Instagram followers he'd fallen ill just days before the release of his fourth studio album, and a week before he was due to appear as a guest on Saturday Night Live.
He's since told The Daily Mail: "I'm self-isolating with my daughter. I have been alone with her, without my wife, since we are both positive. I am now going to spend 10 days alone with her."
The musician seemed to be in good spirits while spending quality time with his daughter, joking that he's "just eating all the time".
"Sometimes I am away and spend just two days a week with her, so being able to be with her for 10 straight days is great. I just spoke to Cherry and told her to relax, take long baths! Our fridge is full and we are just eating all the time."
Ed and Cherry, 29, welcomed baby Lyra in September 2020.
On Monday, Sheeran announced that he'd endeavour to complete as many of his promotional commitments surrounding the release of his album, =, from home while recovering.
"Hey guys. Quick note to tell you that I've sadly tested positive for Covid, so I'm now self-isolating and following government guidelines," he wrote on Instagram.
"I'm now unable to plough ahead with any in-person commitments for now, so I'll be doing as many of my planned interviews/performances I can from my house," he said. "Apologies to anyone I've let down. Be safe everyone x."
Sheeran was also booked as a guest on Saturday Night Live on November 6. It is not yet clear if his performance will be changed to a virtual one, but initial reports suggested SNL producers were "scrambling" to find a replacement.
A source told Page Six that SNL producers were looking to replace him with "another singer who appeals to the same demo", such as Shawn Mendes or Justin Bieber.
According to the insider, there's a chance SNL could let Sheeran perform remotely.
"Ed is offering to perform live via video link, but this isn't something SNL does," the source told us. "The show likes to have the performer in studio."
Days before he revealed his Covid-19 status, the singer was pictured mingling with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at the first annual Earthshot Prize Awards, where he also performed.
Sheeran was seen chatting with the royals as well as Harry Potter star Emma Watson at the event.
