Famous-for-not-a-lot celebutantes Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie have been dumped by the E! Channel.
The network, which screens the reality series The Simple Life, has dropped the show from next year's line up, according to entertainment news site The Insider.
After premiering in 2003, the series screened on Fox for two seasons, before E! picked it up.
It remains to be seen if another network will take on the reality show, but given the socialites' recent run-ins with the law, it is thought to be unlikely.
Hilton infamously served 22 days in an LA county jail last month after being caught driving while her licence was suspended.
Richie has also been sentenced to jail time for driving under the influence of drugs.
Last week a Superior Court Commissioner, Steven Lubell, sentenced Richie to four days in jail, to be served before September 28 this year.
Neither Hilton nor Richie have commented on the series' cancellation.
