Reboots are all the rage at the moment, and that trend doesn't change on the fourth X-Men film, X-Men: First Class.
Aimed as a prequel to the hugely popular but occasionally flawed X-Men movie trilogy, First Class heads back to the 60s to examine how warring mutant factions X-Men and the Brotherhood of Mutants were formed.
Yes, the plot suffers from the huge number of characters on screen - everyone from Hugh Jackman's Wolverine to Havok, Emma Frost and a surprisingly good Kevin Bacon as Sebastian Shaw make an appearance.
But there are plenty of huge action set pieces scattered throughout the film's two-hour running time, and it's the excellent James McAvoy as Dr Charles Xavier who proves there will probably be more than just the one film in this reboot.
Extras: There's more than three hours of exclusive bonus content on the Blu-ray edition, so fans will want to snap it up rather than the DVD release. These include special features, deleted and extended scenes, and an in-depth look into the detail behind each character's make-up and clothes.
