David Fincher's The Social Network won all the plaudits in 2010 for its film score, led by Nine Inch Nails front man and Oscar winner Trent Reznor.
Last year, the underrated Hanna deserved to do the same, thanks to its skittery electronica-based score created by British dance duo The Chemical Brothers.
The soundtrack theme tune weaves in and out of Hanna, perfectly integrating itself into an expertly paced film about a teen girl born and bred to become the perfect assassin.
The plot borrows plenty from the acclaimed Bourne films, in that Hanna (Saoirse Ronan) is attempting to track down the very people that created her - in the hope of destroying them.
But the Joe Wright-directed film avoids cliches with plenty of surprises, great fight scenes, a wicked sense of humour and some genuinely great characters - you can just tell Cate Blanchett loved playing her deliciously evil intelligence agent.
