Global megastar Drake has made a generous gesture to two Australian fans at one of his Melbourne shows, seemingly giving away $25,000 and $20,000 to concert attendees who showed “a lot of love” to him and his 7-year-old son, Adonis Graham.
While performing to a sold-out crowd of 15,000 people at Rod Laver Arena on February 9, the God’s Plan rapper came across a woman holding a sign that read “Adonis For President.” The sign also included the Canadian flag and the owl logo for Drake’s brand OVO.
“We’ll start here with you because you’re showing a lot of love to my son,” Drake, 38, said to the woman.
“Well, on behalf of me and my son, we’re gonna give you 25 grand for your family.”
Cameras in the building moved to capture the woman’s reaction as the crowd cheered in response to the rapper.
Shortly after offering the massive financial gift, Drake spotted another one of his fans holding a sign that said: “Kiss me, it’s my birthday.”

“I can’t really see you from here,” Drake said to the fan.
“It’s a tough read on the kiss, but what I’m gonna do is I’m gonna give you 20 grand and I’m gonna pay for a birthday dinner for you and all your friends.
“And if you want, you can come back to the show again. Both of y’all, if y’all want, we’ll get you tickets,” he said to the two fans holding signs.
The rapper continued to thank fans for attending the sold-out show and recognising the financial cost of being there.
“It really touches my heart that - through all of that, you still take your hard-earned money, and you spend some of that money on tickets to this show to see this kid from Canada get up here and talk s***,” Drake shared with the Melbourne crowd.
“I really appreciate you. I would be nothing without you.”
The Herald hasn’t been able to confirm whether the rapper followed up on his gesture, and the two people in the crowd haven’t come forward since to comment.

On January 29, Ticketmaster notified fans that his New Zealand shows were being postponed by two weeks due to “scheduling conflicts”.
It is not known why Drake postponed the shows, but two new dates in Australia had been scheduled for March 4 (Brisbane) and March 7 (Sydney) before the announcement was made.
Drake also appears to be quietly carrying on with his career after facing off against Kendrick Lamar in a highly-publicised feud last year that many say was won by Lamar.
Drake and Lamar began sparring in May 2024, unleashing a brief war of words that saw tit-for-tats made against each other in a series of diss tracks.
Lamar seemed to take the cake over Drake in the rap battle with the release of his diss track Not Like Us - which went on to win critical and commercial acclaim, as well as five Grammy Awards earlier this month.
