Donald Glover debuts trailer for new film co-starring Rihanna at NZ music festival

Over the weekend, the first trailer for Donald Glover's Guava Island premiered during the Pharos Festival at Tapapakanga Regional Park in Auckland, New Zealand.

Starring the 35-year-old This Is America creator and Rihanna, the film was directed by Glover's longtime collaborator Hiro Murai according to DailyMail.

While the clip remains unavailable in any official manner, a fan was able to sneak a video of the debut and shared it on Twitter.

Back in August, Cuban magazine Vistar first reported that Glover and Rihanna are set to co-star in the upcoming flick.

The news was confirmed when a number of other photos of the Umbrella singer on set were posted to Twitter.

The project remains shrouded in mystery, but now there are about two-minutes of footage available for viewing.

The clip opens with Glover playing guitar inside with his girlfriend Rihanna - it's all colorful and warm-looking.

A boat horn then goes off, and Childish Gambino takes off into the city where he performs and is even held up by a group of willy teens.

'We live in paradise but none of us actually have the time or the means to live here. We work hard. We deserve a day off. We're just taking what's ours,' he says about halfway through the clip.

The film is being billed as a Childish Gambino Production, and Letitia Wright and Nonso Anozie are also set to star in the picture.

Murai has worked with Glover on his FX show Atlanta and Childish Gambino videos This Is America, 3005, Sweatpants and Sober.

No release date for the film has been released at this time.
