In August last year a court found David Mueller assaulted Taylor Swift during a 2013 visit to a Colorado radio station.
The pop star was awarded a symbolic $US1 in damages after a jury found the radio host had put his hands under Swift's dress and groped her buttocks during a meet and greet photo.
But almost 12 months on from the verdict and Mueller has maintained his innocence, now claiming that the incident has "ruined my life".
Mueller, who was fired from his Colorado job after the assault but now hosts a show in Mississippi, told Radar the trial has left him feeling broken.
"How can you live with yourself? You ruined my life," Mueller said. "I was not ready for the photograph. I admit it was awkward but I never grabbed her. It's not even close to what happened."
