We can't help but wonder if Swedish DJ Eric Prydz jinxed himself when he told us he had conquered his fear of flying and was excited to head Downunder. The London-based DJ was set to headline this Saturday's Summadayze tour at Vector Arena but cancelled his appearance after a series of panic attacks prevented him from making the 24-hour flight.
The news came just days after Prydz had told TimeOut how much improved he was after a North American tour last year.
"Stuff like that can really limit you and your life. I don't want to be an old man lying in my bed, knowing that I had the opportunity to travel the world and I didn't take it because I couldn't face my fears," he said. At 32, Prydz still has plenty of time to work on it. But not before Saturday.
Summadayze will be held at Auckland's Vector Arena, this Saturday, from 10pm. Tickets from Ticketmaster.
