DJ AM has credited his recent plane crash for saving his life, after doctors found a potentially fatal blood clot in his leg while he was being treated for second and third-degree burns.
The 35-year-old musician - who suffered second and third-degree burns after the crash last month - revealed doctors discovered a potentially fatal blood clot in a scan that took place during his hospitalisation.
He said: "In the burn centre, they did a scan and found that I had a blood clot that in this flight could have travelled to my heart and I could have died."
The DJ, real name Adam Goldstein, believes the clot could have been caused by his frequent long-haul flights.
After revealing he currently has nearly two million frequent flier miles, Adam said doctors put him on blood-thinning medication and implanted a filter in his vein to get rid of the clot.
Adam added to People magazine: "I have a great deal of faith that everything happens for a reason. I put myself in God's hands."
