Executives behind Disney's 2012 animated movie Wreck-It Ralph are accused of stealing the idea from a TV show proposal.
Dyke Robinson alleges in a lawsuit that he pitched a series based on his book franchise Digiland, which is set in a digital world, to Disney officials in 2012 but they scrapped the idea after reading his script.
Robinson has accused the executives of stealing his imagery and ideas for the movie, which featured the voices of Sarah Silverman and John C. Reilly, and using his proposal to create Sugar Rush, a land made entirely out of candy, for the animation, which is set inside arcade games.
He is asking for US$10 million (NZ$15.27 million) in damages, according to TMZ.com.
