Doctor Who star Karen Gillan was so worried about her exit from the show that she refused to read the final script for weeks.
The actress, who plays Amy Pond in the long-running sci-fi show, bows out later this year with on-screen husband Rory played by Arthur Darvill.
Speaking at a screening of the first episode of the new series, called Asylum of the Daleks, Gillan said: "I didn't want to make it real.
"It must have been a few weeks, oh my God, I just didn't want to make it real."
Gillan also said that because the show isn't made in a chronological order her final scene with Darvill and Matt Smith was "fairly insignificant".
