Demi Lovato's life was in the balance when friends called 911 for help, new reports have claimed.
A source told TMZ that the troubled singer, 25, was unconscious and "could have died" before being treated by paramedics for a suspected overdose.
According to E!, Lovato now is "grateful to be alive" and plans to go to rehab after being released from hospital.
Earlier on Friday the 911 call made from Lovato's house was released by TMZ , with the person on the phone requesting the ambulance arrive "with no sirens, please".
The 911 dispatcher denied the request, explaining it was a "medical emergency" and they "didn't have control over that".
