David Beckham reportedly faces police questioning after his bodyguards allegedly attacked a photographer who was trailing the soccer star and his family.
The soccer star, who was with his wife Victoria and their three sons, reportedly confronted a paparazzo following his car and asked him to get out of his vehicle.
When photographer Emicles DaMata refused, David's bodyguards are then believed to have intervened, allegedly pulling the photographer out of his car, wrestling him to the ground, handcuffing and dragging him along the road.
The security team then reportedly grabbed DaMata's camera and threw it in a nearby garbage can.
DaMata confirmed he would be speaking to his lawyers about the altercation, which took place in Beverly Hills.
He said: "They punched me a lot. They just can't do this. They put me on the floor, got my camera and threw it in the trash can. They can't do this to us."
Onlookers were shocked at the treatment of the photographer, with one saying: "It was very aggressive. I thought only police were allowed to carry handcuffs."
Another added: "The trouble started right in the street in front of the police station. Once the bodyguards and the paparazzi started fighting David ran back to the car and he and Victoria drove off."
A spokesperson for the Beverly Hills Police Department said: "We took a report at the scene but no one was taken into custody or cited.
"We'll review what we have to see if further action needs to be taken."
