David Beckham has been defended by fans after his wife, Victoria, uploaded a photo of him kissing their 9-year-old daughter, Harper, on the lips.
The snap was among a series of images the family shared with their social media followers from the organic farm in Gloucester where they'd been staying – picking vegetables and making autumnal wreaths.
But it was the picture of the football legend and his daughter that caused a stir among fans, with a number of them taking issue and slamming the star.
"Adore your family, but never understood those parents' kisses on the lips. Still the best family," one commented.
"Why is he kissing her on her lips?" another asked.
"Who looks at this and sees anything other than love!"
Another added it was "beautiful" to see "so much love, it's nice to see a dad and his girl".
"He's her dad. I still kiss my kids on the lips, because they're my kids and I love them. Looks well when u can't be loving to your own kids … that you made!" commented a third person.
It's not the first time the 45-year-old has come under fire for the innocent action, with Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan last year calling it "creepy" and "weird".

In 2017, Beckham hit out at the criticism, insisting he does the same with all of his children because "we want to show our kids love".
Reacting to the disapproval from some fans, he said, "I got actually criticised for kissing my daughter on the lips the other day. I kiss all my kids on the lips."
"Brooklyn maybe not. Brooklyn's 18, he might find that a little bit strange," he said.
"But I'm very affectionate with the kids. It's how I was brought up and Victoria, and it's how we are with our children.
"We want to show our kids love and we protect them, look after them, and support them and we've very affectionate with them."
