Paris had a sex tape, Susan Boyle sang I Dreamed a Dream, now Dan Carter has found himself caught up in the YouTube phenomenon by appearing in a grainy video dancing on a bar top in a Perpignan wearing white shots, a cheeky grin and a road worker's fluorescent vest.
Yes, a vest! Click here
Short of a glow stick or two, the All Black legend pulls out his best oonst oonst dance moves waving his hands in the air like he just doesn't care. Neither do the other patrons.
The bar is full of revellers who seem oblivious to Carter's fame and happy to dance along to the cheesy Euro club mix pop song. The video has had 13,514 viewers and counting.
Dallow discovers family roots
He may look like the ultimate Ken doll, but New Zealand's most eligible man, Simon Dallow, is a man of many hidden talents. Starting next week, the One News anchor will be back on radio. He's sharing his love of sport with the nation and joining Martin Devlin's weekend sports show on RadioLive as a contributor.
Simon is a big sports buff - that's watching and talking sport rather than playing, despite standing in Tall Black territory at 6'5".
As an over-40 father of two, his chances of being selected may seem slight, but in breaking news, he's just returned from researching and tracing his Whakapapa. He may look like a white guy who can't dance, much less shoot a hoop, but he's also Ngati Pukenga and Ngati Pikiao, so all may not be lost.
Check him out on RadioLive, where I hear, he will be in the hot seat as host when Devlin takes much needed breaks with his very lovely wife Andi Brotherston and their boys
David Farrier leaves to make doco in Mongolia
I joined the throngs who came to Sale St bar on Thursday night to farewell TV3 reporter David Farrier who's off to Mongolia's Gobi Desert to make a documentary about his hunt for a mythical 1.5m acid-spitting death worm. Celebrity pals Kate Lynch, Carol Hirschfeld, Oliver Driver, Dai Henwood, Hollie Smith, Nick D, Kate Rodger, Jesse Peach, Shavaughn Ruakere, Phil Bostwick, Ali Ikram and many others came along.

New role for Veitch?
Broadcaster Tony Veitch, who resigned from his sports presenting roles on Radio Sport and One News, may be making a comeback to the airwaves.
Long-time friend and former employer Bill Francis from the Radio Network, who supported Veitch at that astonishing press conference last year where he admitted lashing out on Kristin Dunne-Powell, told me that he had conducted market research on Veitch to gauge the public's reaction on his returning to air.
Asked whether that meant Veitch will be back on the mike at Radio Sport, the place he was suspended from last year during the investigation, Francis said: "It's too premature to talk about it now. Call back in two weeks."
Francis added: "We have got some data about Tony coming back on air and at some stage in the near future that will be considered." He wouldn't comment on what the data revealed.
The station's director of programming and marketing, David Brice, was a little more reticent.
He said: "There are no plans for [Veitch's] imminent return. We've had no firm discussion. No offers have been made to Veitch. We were just interested in where the public sentiment is towards him."
It's no secret Veitch is passionate about broadcasting and insiders told me he had many friends in the radio industry who are keen to help him return. One, who wanted to remain anonymous, told me: "It would be good for him. He needs this. It would be great for his confidence."
Veitch would not participate in this story, hanging up on me when I called. I didn't get the opportunity to quiz him on the possibility of his new vocation, nor the mystery blonde he was seen cosying up to at the Matakana pub a couple of weeks ago. The pair watched the All Blacks play the Aussies in the Bledisloe Cup, I understand.
Barmaid Stacey said she saw Veitchy "having a few quiet drinks" in the bar with the woman.
Who is she? In a process of elimination, the woman is unlikely to be wife Zoe, with whom he has recently separated from. Friends of the couple say the pair have not reconciled. It is rumoured Zoe Veitch has gone back to using her maiden name, Halford.
Last month Veitch was seen in the close company of striking brunette Jenna Coffey, a radio executive at RadioWorks (rivals to The Radio Network and Radio Sport where Veitch may be working at again).
The pair were seen getting very chummy at a Ponsonby bar, though Coffey denies any romance telling me "we are just good friends."
