The Cranberries singer Dolores O'Riordan has been taken to hospital after being arrested.
The 43-year-old star was arrested after allegedly assaulting a female flight attendant and a police officer on an Aer Lingus flight from New York JFK which arrived in Shannon, County Clare, Ireland.
A spokesman for Aer Lingus is quoted by Irish broadcaster RTE News as saying: "An incident took place on board flight EI110 en route from New York to Shannon today.
"The matter is being investigated by An Garda Síochána. As this is a security matter we will not comment any further."
After landing, the singer allegedly left her seat and lashed out at the air stewardess when she told her to sit down, The Independent reported.
