It is not clear from the photos if the mask has a transparent protective layer underneath, however some speculated this may have been the case.
"Please tell me that there's some sort of see-through/sheer, woven (or clear plastic?) liner under the mesh?" a fan asked.
According to the Huffington Post, USA Today reported Del Rey was breaking Los Angeles County Covid-19 guidelines, which urges people to wear a face-covering over their mouth and nose when in public and near other people.
Although the artist is yet to address the criticism, yesterday she posted another video on her Instagram stories where she was wearing a camouflage printed mask.
"Finally wearing a proper mask," a follower wrote in the comments.
