It's offical. Bill Murray is the best dad in the world.
In New York City over the weekend, Murray tended the bar at the opening of his son Homer Murray's new restaurant, 21 Greenpoint.
Bill apparently arrived in an odd fashion on Friday night when his car broke down onthe motorway in The Bronx and was then picked up by a random person in an Uber who saw him struggling.
The 65-year-old actor then entered his son's bar carrying an arm full of flea-market junk including a stuffed badger wearing a hunting jacket. Because why not?
After all that kerfuffle getting to the new restaurant he started his shift at 8pm and donned a striped buttondown and a T-shirt.
21 Greenpoint sports an elaborate cocktail menu that includes a special called 'Smoking Peaches' which has tequila, mescal, agave, habenero shrub and lime oils.
Bill wasn't whipping up those, sticking to serving easy drinks like shots of whiskey, tequila and the odd vodka-soda.
In between being the coolest dad in the world and chatting to new customers, Murray was also seen pouring shots for himself and singing along to War's Why Can't We Be Friends and The Rolling Stones' Start Me Up.
According to The New York Post, when asked what he found most difficult about being behind the bar, Murray said "finding the right glass".
Bill also held a tender toast to his son Homer, 34, who is the eldest of his children.
"I am so happy ... that he has not continued in the family business," Murray said to the cheers of 100 party goers. "Instead he has taken the joy of the family - to have a drink, to have a meal and have friends together - and made it his life's work."
Outside the new resturant, a line of fans were keen to join the celebration.
21 Greenpoint is Homer's second restaurant in the same location.

"[My dad] has been very supporting of me," Homer told The New York Post.
"He didn't do this because I asked him to. He didn't do this because he thought it would drum up business. He did this because he wanted to. That's the beauty of it."
