KEY POINTS:
New Zealand comedian Rhys Darby's latest role has him cast as a tennis coach with some unorthodox training methods.
His character Ross Steel - alleged coach of Roger Federer - hides out in the Swiss star's apartment and unexpectedly peppers him with tennis balls.
Federer is up to the challenge and returns the serves but his apartment is destroyed in the ensuing volleys and it appears Darby's character also comes to a sticky end.
According to Britain's Daily Telegraph, the role was inspired by the Cato character in the Pink Panther movies, who regularly ambushed the bumbling Inspector Clouseau to keep him on his toes.
In a post on his blog site last week, Darby said Steel was the only man who could "harness the power within to train the world's greatest player... That man is Ross Steel".
"Stay tuned, keep an eye out, and be prepared to... duck," Darby wrote.
